Earthquakes, fires, and headaches
Holy what a week. A lot happened.
To start off with news years, I thought the US did it big for new years. Nope not one bit. It sounded like I was in a war zone all night. At midnight there were about 100 plus elders screaming and yelling on the field right behind the casa. I watched some of the craziest fireworks I've ever seen, we were all standing on the second counselors driveway, to think back to it there were so many other spots to watch fireworks at midnight in the ccm. Thats okay, he didn't yell at us.
I don't think ive ever had such bad headaches and the amount I have had here is not fun. There's been a few days when I bum around in the morning because my head hurts so bad. Friday was definitely one to remember, I woke up with a bad headache and as I was getting ready, there was an earthquake! I'm not gonna say i jinxed it but the day we got to the CCM i joked about how funny it would be if there was an earthquake, well there was one and to make it better I was getting ready and I was not prepared to leave the casa when the earthquake hit. Ive never gotten fully ready so fast. To make Friday even better the mountain started on fire again, pretty lit.
Some other highlights:
Solo español started and it's turning my brain to mush, I cant even read English good anymore.
Me and Elder Morrell taught Alma she said we are pretty great at teaching in Spanish (I think she lied to us)
Not a highlight but I had to say bye to my latino friends that showed up at the same time.
I got Mexico residency!!! Yesterday kinda sucked, we had to wake up at 5ish to go to immigration. The only way I can describe how painful it was is imagine the dmv without an appointment on steroids. Not fun.
On Sunday during study time we figured out approximately when the Earth was flooded with Noah. We came to a conclusion of it being 1650 years after the creation, don't quote us we were just bored, had genesis, and a whiteboard.
An elder in the casa flooded the front room at 10:20ish at night. Don't forget about your water when filling your water bottle up ☝️
Short spiritual thought:
If you have faith in God, you can find the answers you are looking for. Ask and you shall receive. Trust in God in all aspects of your life, keep the commandments and blessings will be poured upon you.
Sorry for the book of an email, the days just mash together. Its crazy how time flies on a mission, days are long, weeks are way too short. Side note, the CCM confiscated my monsters so I'm a bit sad about that😥
