Warzone in real life?🤙

Whats popping everyone? Not the cartel thats for sure! But in all seriousness yes the leader/drug lord of the cartel got killed yesterday. Yes as of right now where I am is safe, that could change at any moment so thats exciting.  Highlights:  I got to play clash royale at our friend Fernandas house, she wanted only me to teach so she gave her phone to my comp and I taught about the temples all by myself, that was pretty epic. After like 10 minutes she made me not teach and so I got to play clash, it was so great.  I got a costco card, I felt like it was a big achievement as an adult to get one so I had to share. Best idea Ive had since going on a mission😀 Posol... everyone down here says posol is like the best drink ever, to be honest its horrible. I dont even know what it is but its not good at all. Sunday on our walk to church 9 armored trucks flew by us with mounted guns and all. As a joke I said the cartel was fighting back. Later we found out they actually w...

Muerte

Welcome to another week in mexico. This email is going to be short, nothing much happened.  Elder Hidalgo, a service missionary hung out with us all Tuesday. Apparently he is famous on tiktok so go look him up, he's pretty dope.   Wednesday and Thursday were not fun, I finally got sick so I was passing away. It havent felt that sick in a long time. Not fun (Mom don't worry I'm not dead)  Other highlights: We helped with a youth activity, took them around to visit some more inactive members and then took them knocking doors. That was pretty fun. I led a lesson! I started it and led it all the way through to even inviting to be baptized, she accepted the fecha too! Did I get laughed at while teaching it, yes. I did it though and that's all that matters I had to talk in church on Sunday... listen I don't like talking in church in English, let alone in spanish where I barely understand what I say sometimes. The gift of tongues clutched up and I think I did pretty good...

Whats popping all, this week was a roller coaster, we went from exploring the jungle to being cornered in an alley by a dog in less than 24 hours....  The highlights:  - last P day we took a van about 2 hours our area, to this place called tapijulapa? I think that's how you spell it. Its literally in the middle of the jungle  of mexico. It was so cool seeing the jungle and hearing wild monkey, getting stung by a large ant, almost getting stranded. It was worth it though, it was so cool. -We were knocking doors (yelling we barely knock). This girl poked her head out then flipped us off and ran away. It was pretty funny. -We had a lesson and we were teaching the commandments, the girl we were teaching pulled up the commandments on chat gpt😀 they were not correct to say the least. -we got a ride from a random girl that was drinking and driving, it was kinda scary especially with the traffic here in Villahermosa. -In my area (the middle of the city) we have a lot of a...

"Horse meat not José Smith"

Well another week done in mexico. I'll explain the title in a minute. This week was full of rain showers and cold? Yeah I never thought during my mission I would be wanting a jacket. It happened and its been COLD. Cold here is like 75 is degrees, after a week and a half of close to 90+ degrees 75 really gets to you. Highlights:  horse meat not José smith, I'm blessed to have a good amount of pretty good English speakers in my ward here in deportiva. They have good English but they still have the Spanish accent and at lunch yesterday they were talking about some other people and one of them knows English and he tried explaining something, I dont really know what they were talking about but he randomly said horse meat not José smith, with a heavy tabascan accent it actually sounds almost the same Not a highlight but update on Fernanda, she really wants to be baptized but her mom won't sign. We (my comp) had a almost hour conversation to try to get the signature and it didn...

Well I finally made it to Villahermosa but there were a few things left from the CCM cause I didnt get an email out. Its gonna be a long one -I broke my finger dunking on an elder (I broke it getting a rebound), the next day I broke out of the CCM and got it xrayed it is infact broken... its okay - did the ei Spanish test, that sucked -there was another earthquake which I called it BTW. -some elders in the casa had a pet snail and he died, we had a funeral for him it was so funny but also serious and sad.... - I won the war and got my monsters back, that was epic We got to Villahermosa! It's so hot here, its crazy. I got put right smack in the city, its so cool. We are opening so its interesting, we know nobody. My dad is elder Armstrong, he's pretty dope. He's been in the field for 6 months, luckily he's pretty good at Spanish.  Theres a massive mall in the middle of our area, its called the great and spacious building. We arent allowed in it and we don't know wh...

Revelations

So to be honest this week flew by, I dont really even know what I did. It was all a blur. So its gonna be a short and sweet email. Spanish is hard, its even worse when its all you are supposed to speak. Last monday we started solo español, its really hard to speak a language when you know so little vocabulary. Im trying and the language is coming along slowly for sure. TO PEOPLE COMING TO THE CCM IF YOU ORDER MONSTERS DONT ORDER GET THEM FROM WALMART To clear things up my monsters that my loving mother ordered me got confiscated... they are now on display in reception for everyone to see.... muy triste  Some good ol highlights: One night our casa stayed up wayy too late, but its okay because we were talking about the gospel. We all shared stories and our testimonies, I think most people shed at least one tear. (I totally didnt cause I totally dont cry i dont know what you are talking about) One elder in my room started sleep talking and told me everything about my life in li...
