From enemies to friends🤯

 Another week down in mexico, lets dive right in🥱


Its getting real hot here in Villa, I'm not ready for when it gets hotter.

The highlights:

-We got the firma to baptized Anel! Threw her in the water immediately. The story with Anel is unique, it was like my second day on the mission and we were looking for members. I knocked the wrong door and it happened to be Anel, we taught her for a minute. The next day she said she doesn't want anything to do with us. A week later she texted us and said she wants God in her life. Crazy miracle.

-We got the firma for Fernanda. After weeks of everything, we not only got the firma. Her mom came to church! She still is super catholic but that's okay we will play the long game with her. Still crazy that she likes us as much as she does now.

-Saturday we had to clean the pila for the baptism. There was one issue, the button to drain the pila was broke.... we had no way of draining the pila and they left the water in it from the last baptism (there hasn't been a baptism in the pila for about 2-3 months). Luckily we got it fixed in time.

-We got free Tortas! Shout out to Elder Hidalgo once again, some guy that owns a food place reached out to him and told him to bring his missionary friends and eat free tortas. If you don't know a torta is basically a big sandwich. 

Spiritual thought:
Ever since getting here, I have realized how much people don't like missionaries. Its crazy, daily we get yelled at or cussed out just because we are trying to help people come to Christ. Especially now that I am starting to understand more of what people say, its absolutely not great. It makes me think about Christ and his suffering in his time of preaching. Focusing more on the atonement than I have ever in my life has brought me to realize how much Christ suffered and he suffered for us. If I can do one thing as a missionary, I just want to share the love Jesus has for every person. He gave his life for each person. He loves us and knows us personally, he understands what we are going through. Use his atonement, use the Christlike love in your life. Its an amazing thing to have.

Earthquakes, fires, and headaches

  Holy what a week. A lot happened. To start off with news years, I thought the US did it big for new years. Nope not one bit. It sounded like I was in a war zone all night. At midnight there were about 100 plus elders screaming and yelling on the field right behind the casa. I watched some of the craziest fireworks I've ever seen, we were all standing on the second counselors driveway, to think back to it there were so many other spots to watch fireworks at midnight in the ccm. Im famous? No

  This transfer was crazy, we did it all literally exploring the jungle all the way to being cornered in an alley by a dog. Its been so amazing serving God in Mexico.  Just found out my dad is DL as well as finishing my training 🙏🙏 thats pretty hype. Alright lets get into it, here are the highlights of this week: -Divies with the ZL, its been weird both of the divies I have done have been in my area with my companion and then another missionary joining us. Its been great. A long with that, we had a sleepover at the ZLs house. That was pretty fun, they live in a house with 4 other missionaries right now.we had boneless, its basically a better Bdubs. Slept in a hammock, that wss pretty lit. They also had a bench so I was able to workout in a normal way. (I miss the gym so much)  -Fernanda is getting baptized!!!! If you don't know who Fernanda is. We are looking for José 😃

  And thats another solid week down here in Mexico, it doesnt stop getting hotter.  It was a pretty interesting week so lets get to the good stuff. Highlights:  -We had zone conference, it was chill. I was able to understand a good chunk of it. That was pretty dope. -A lot of the times when we are looking for people and doing public contacts or just talking to people in the streets, instead of making it weird by just starting talking. I like to ask them if they know José, we are looking for José. Sometimes it works, other times you get sent to a house of jehovah witnesses -Met some pretty dope jehovah witnesses, usually they don't like us missionaries. They invited us in and we talked, gave us an invite to their church. The next day we were walking close to their house and he came running with pan and gave us some fire pan.
